As a man, you're almost bound to make fashion mistakes every now and then. Some, however, are unforgivable. Here's a rough guide to the most fatal mistakes.

With these tips in mind when you go shopping, the women will see you, and not all the horrible mistakes you've made ;)

A few years ago, I spent ten days in Japan. On one of my trips with a Japanese friend, we visited an old temple park, and enjoyed the serenity of the beautiful scenery. Our next encounter turned out to be a very interesting one.

If you haven't already seen one, tried one, or at least heard about the Shakti mat - be prepared. This mat sold 300.000 pieces last year in Sweden alone. And now the inventor is ready for a world-wide launch.

The Shakti mat is a spike mat for us normal people, without prior knowledge of ancient traditions, yoga or meditation. The yoga type mat has an incredible 6000 points of contact for acupressure - placed in a perfect geometric pattern for your well being, as the inventor says on his web page. It can be used by children and adults, and is priced around $90.

Coffee capsules are small, one-dose containers for preparing coffee. Capsules come in different shapes and materials.

Among the most famous are the capsules from French coffee maker Nespresso. They have an almost monopolistic position in the market.

However, there are alternatives. And if you're looking for a capsule machine, please read on. You might want to consider other options.

This year, Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), invites the coffee world to meet at the 7th World Cup tasting Championship from June 23 to 25th at Olympia in London, UK.

Cup tasting is the art of testing and determining different characteristics in a coffee. You can easily compare it to wine tasting. Cup tasters, or cuppers as they are called, oftentimes work at coffee importers and help determine which coffees to buy. Thus, the skill of choosing a good coffee is very important to the coffee business as a whole.

To make a good cup of espresso, you need to know a few basic things. And then it comes down to practice and experience. A lot of the finesse in making good espresso comes from the passion involved, the experience, the non-tangible things that you 'just know'. Of course, without the basics, there's no room for finesse.

In this post, you'll learn about 10 things that must be in place to get a good result in the cup.

Drinking coffee is more than just inducing caffeine into your system. It’s so much more: Socially, historically, culturally.

People all over the world meet over a cup of coffee to socialize. And we’ve done it for centuries. In Norway, it’s impolite not to offer a visitor a cup of coffee. No matter if the visit was a wanted one or not ;) Coffee is a social mediator, something which makes the conversation run smoother and keeps you awake if it draws out…

That’s why I always say that coffee shop owners are not in the coffee business. They’re in the business of creating good times for people. They’re in the business of creating a mood. Oftentimes they’re the people who start the day for people. Or meet them in their busiest time of day. Or when they need to relax and get their mind off something.

If you’re a coffee shop owner, consider this fact again: You are not in the coffee business. And when you realize it’s true: Make your customers appreciate the fact that you know it.

As you might know, I owned a coffee shop some years ago. So for a few years, I was synonymous with coffee in my hometown. As a result, people who offered me coffee always made sure to say something like: “I don’t know if you want coffee here. I guess it’s not good enough for you, right?”.

The thing is, I’m not like that at all. I’m no coffee snob. I do enjoy an excellent cup of coffee prepared by a master barista. At the same time, I can really enjoy a normal drip filter coffee made by anyone. It all depends on the setting, really. A decent cup of coffee tastes like heaven when it’s served at the right moment. Or in the surroundings, with the right people around.

But if you want to impress even when making regular coffee, keep these points in mind.

The 2010 World Barista Championship was held last week in London, UK. There were 55 countries competing for the title of World Barista Champion 2010.

The winner this year was from the United States.

In 2004, a small company I'd been an integral part of on a daily basis, went bankrupt. It was a tough decision to throw in the towel. At first, I felt like it was five years spent in vain. Five years of planning, running and fighting for a business - and now it was all a waste.
